Pozsony
Lying on a bend in the Danube at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains, Bratislava is a quintessential Old European city. With a beautiful restored Old Town full of Hapsburg Baroque architecture, Bratislava’s cobbled streets are worth visiting. While it’s a bit communist around the edges still, it’s a small, stroll-able city with plenty of sidewalk cafes and restaurants. Recently “discovered” by tourism, the city is becoming a popular place to visit.
Kassa
The country's second largest city Kosice is a regional administrative centre and hub of industry, commerce, science and culture. This metropolis of Eastern Slovakia has the biggest municipal relic preserve in the country. City` s dominating feature is the Cathedral of Saint Alzbeta, which is the only gothic cathedral in the very east of Europe.
Pöstyén
The spa resort Piestany lies in the middle of beautiful surrounding of the west part of Slovakia, by the longest Slovakian River Vah. Thanks to its pleasant climate, is this resort popular just for vacation or for spa services, such as tetany and locomotive organs treatments.
Zsolna
Zilina city is the centre of northwest part of the country and is situated at a distance 200 km from country's capital Bratislava. Poprád
Poprad is small but major industrial and cultural point of the Spis district. The city is wellknown tourist centre and it is located by the picturesque piedmont of the High Tatra Mountains. It has renovated main square with dominant bell tower and old gothic church with beautiful wall paintings.
Nyitra
The city of Nitra is located in the south of the country. Already since 13th Century is considered as the royal town. Wellknown is the Nitra Castle from 11th Century and rebuilt during the times of Barocco.Today it is industrial, cultural, religious and academic centre.
Besztercebánya
Banska Bystrica, former mining town, is being called the heart of the central Slovakia. The most magnificent monument is definately city castle Barbakan. Reconstructed historical centre, new modern housing and beautiful surroundings offer plenty of free-time possibilities for visitors.
Demanovska Dolina
Demanovska dolina is small village and best known valley in the Lower Tatra Mountains. It is located in the south from Liptovsky Mikulas City, itself is 15 km long and rightly called the most beautiful valley in this area. It offers essential ski terrain, world-known caves and not least plenty of cool hiking trails across surrounding mountain range.
