Bardejov is a stunning example of Slovakian heritage. The town‘s cobbled square is a postcard straight from medieval or early renaissance Europe. If you have been to Eastern Europe then the scene is not too much of a departure from other town squares with affluent merchants’ house colored in pastel shades. But this place is as unspoiled as it gets and is all kept in place by a formidable town wall. It is clear to see why UNESCO has awarded the town World heritage status.
